Close-fitting jumpsuit for women, with a waist seam and statement flounces along the neckband and shoulders. The jumpsuit closes with an invisible zipper in the left side seam. The front features French darts, a faux wrap and a long neckband, and the back has waist darts. The shorts are wide at the hem, have side pockets, and the right pocket is trimmed with a flounced band. The big flounce forms a strap on the right shoulder and falls off the shoulder on the left side. The smaller flounce imitates a sleeve on the right arm. Also included in the pattern (as a separate file) is a trapeze shaped skirt, as an alternative to the shorts, with the same style of pockets.

The bodice is drafted as a corset-style top (with an increased bust dart), as a result of which it stays put on the bust and there is no need for extra straps. For a comfortable fit of this pattern, a bust cup size B-C is recommended (your bra cup size).

Level of difficulty: intermediate, experience is necessary in finishing neckbands, sewing narrow hems, inserting invisible zips.

Recommended fabrics: poplin, taffeta, eyelet, medium weight cottons and linens, jacquard, flannel, synthetic structured materials such as scuba (and other bouncy materials), any other structured fabric. If sewn in lightweight fabrics with good drape, the flounce won’t hold its shape.
