Dress 0430 is a shirtdress with a close fitting silhouette and a midi length cocoon skirt. The front and back feature double princess seams, one starting at the shoulder seam and another at the armscye. The front has a hidden placket, with the option of making the top two buttons visible. The collar is a one piece collar plus stand, and the classic shirt sleeve features a cuff with a bias bound opening and a dropped shoulder style.

The second version of the dress features an open back option, created with a free hanging back yoke, the length of which can be shortened if you prefer to show more skin. The top of the back skirt goes above the waist and is finished with a facing. The front bustier (the bra cups) is topstitched and does not affect the cut of the other pieces.

Skill level: intermediate, all construction techniques are standard. Experience is necessary in making a shirt cuff with a bound opening, hidden placket, one piece collar with stand.
